Wellington DA Event: EOY Wrap Party 2020, November 11, 6:00 pm8:00 pm

Join your fellow designers and creatives to celebrate the end of the year and the start of summer!
What a year 2020 has been! So let’s get together – celebrate being back in level 1, commiserate and share our experiences of this year.
You’ll also enjoy a digital exhibition of Mate Act Now – A protest for the digital generation, curated by Chris Flack, and local designers talk about their response to the brief;

Janelle Rodrigues, Creative Lead, Creature

At Creature, collaboration runs deep, and we’re lucky to work with clients who understand that the best solutions are arrived at, together. I am the creative lead at our studio, working across brand strategy, visual identity, content creation and campaigns.
I have what can only be described as an eclectic range of creative influences. I’m curious about all sorts of things. So I love the wide range of sectors we work in – boutique food and beverage, property development, infrastructure, hospitality and Not for Profits.
Creature works with brands that want to make their presence felt. Each has a story – and it’s my job to find the insights and the emotional connection points inside that story to develop a strong creative idea. I then work to develop that idea into multi-channel experiences.
As ‘creative company’, we look to design distinctive, beautifully brazen and crafted solutions that drive real change and initiate conversations.

Oliver Ward, Creative Partner, Strategy Creative

Oliver has swiftly made a name for himself by pushing boundaries and going against the expected in the dynamic world of design.

He believes great design should be about placing the human experience at its core, realised through well-crafted experiences that add real value to a business’ bottom line.
Oliver brings a fresh approach to solving problems. He believes commonsense and rational thinking are the key to developing simple, effective creative solutions for businesses of all sizes. He’s a stickler for detail and committed to delivering well-refined and award-winning executions.
Oliver’s talent has been well recognised with two Red Dot Awards and a Gold Best Award in 2014. A member of the International Society of Typographic Designers and an invitational speaker at TEDxWellington, Oliver is a design leader who uses an open mindset to create innovative solutions.
