Kia ora Aotearoa New Zealand Designers,

Design Assembly is the home of Aotearoa New Zealand design – bringing Aotearoa NZ’s designers together as a community.

We profile fresh and inspiring mahi produced by Aotearoa NZ based designers (and kiwi designers living overseas) in our Fresh from the Field design case study articles. While we can’t publish everything that is submitted, we aim to give visibility to the diverse people and projects that form Aotearoa NZ Design.

We profile students work in our Hot New Things graduate series and in other design school articles throughout the year.

  • Please write the title in the following format: Fresh From The Field – ‘Project Name’ By ‘Studio/Designer’s Name’
  • 100 – 200 words on what the brief was and any interesting requirements or constraints you had to work with. (You can drag the field out to give yourself some space if necessary)
  • 200 – 500 words about how you responded to the brief – how did you meet the requirements, what breakthroughs or struggles you faced, what was interesting about this project? (You can drag the field out to give yourself some more space if necessary)
