Coming in March – Women in Design Event: Design & You
We are excited to introduce the inaugural Design Assembly Women in Design Day (Design and You) 2024—an annual event dedicated to fostering community, celebration, and education among women in the design industry in Aotearoa New Zealand set for 22 March.
Take a break from your everyday and journey with us as we spend an inspiring and peaceful day out at Bracu Estate.
This is your opportunity to unplug and reconnect with your practice.
Through out the day you’ll be able to enjoy hands-on activities, time in nature, and hear the inspiring stories from our speakers – enjoying shared experiences and validating experiences as women navigating a career in design.
Each speaker will delve into the central theme: “The personal is political: How has your background, life experiences, values, and viewpoints shaped your design practice to live a life in design?” These presentations will set the stage for a facilitated discussion and engaging Q&A session lead by Louise Kellerman, DA Founder and Creative Director.
Outside the core talks and discussion, there will also be space for you to enjoy quiet reflection time out in nature, hands-on activities, as well as time for forming genuine connections with other women in design.
This is a day for you to engage as much as you want or to simply listen and enjoy a breath of time and space for yourself.
All food and beverages will be provided for the day and included in your ticket.
We encourage you to take the day to unplug from your phone and, for those of you with tamariki, to encourage your partner to be the main point of contact for the day.
Come on your own, bring a friend, or book a table for your team. The 2024 Women in Design Day will be a dynamic exchange of ideas and aims to connect individuals, providing a platform for sharing inspiration, information, and ideas.
*Please note: we have a limited number of spots available for this event. Reserve your spot this side of Christmas with our Early Bird pricing. Tickets can be purchased individually or as a table of 8 women.
**DA Friends: email us for your special link, your membership gives you an even bigger discount on early bird tickets
