2021 Christchurch DA Event: EOY Wrap Party

3 years ago by

At the end of November, Design Assembly and Plato Creative hosted Christchurch’s DA end of year wrap party. We had some great talks from local designers about their creative hobbies, passion projects and side hustles.

Tim & Honey from Plato Creative talked about a side hustle of web design in the cryptocurrency space, recent works of NFT websites and the journey of creating a NFT collection.
Morgan Harper talked about Mum’s Voices, which tells the story of a young boy and his mother who lives with schizophrenia – hoping to build empathy towards those in our community who experience similar things as well as spark conversations amongst our tamariki
Lindsay Yee talked about self-initiated design work that led to an exhibition at Objectspace in Auckland.
There was great food and great drinks, with Parrot Dog and Finery fueling the following conversations. The event was a good reminder that there is still community out there, and that we’ve all had a tough year. But we can, and should, still come together to catch up and share with each other.
