Fresh from the Field – Aetheria Product Design by Designerbloom

4 years ago by

Fresh from the Field is a weekly article series sharing the fresh and inspiring work of our Design Assembly community.

This week Designerbloom shared with us their recent product design work for a herbal tincture brand, Aetheria, which conjures up an ethereal otherworldly aesthetic, in a Witchy-but-Modern way.

The Brief:

The client approached Designerbloom about creating a label range for their herbal tinctures which would conjure up an ethereal otherworldly aesthetic, in a Witchy-but-Modern way. We discussed a flowing/ looping branding typography, a mixture of textures (dots, stripes, shapes) along with a muted colour palette. The title of each label was to be reflected through the feature imagery of simple shapes such as the moon, clouds, flowers, stars and sun, bringing together the label range as a whole.

The Design Response:

My client provided an excellent brief with a strong vision on colours and styles she wished to have for her new product range. I was provided image and colour examples, on which I developed through further research on similar styles and colour palettes before refining to a simple colour palette and overall illustration style. The product range grew from 4 products to 6 overall. I worked with my client to refine the final designs into her vision. We then developed on the project by creating full designed box packaging for the bottles, which are currently at the printers. All final products are professionally photographed for the website and socials by Roz McIntosh.
