Our client is a boutique advertising agency based in Albany, Auckland. They are searching for a full-time Senior Graphic Designer to join their studio.

Agency experience is a must for this role. As an integral part of the creative team, you will be involved in all aspects of the creative process including research, ideation, concept testing, design development, and presentation.

The Role:

Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, you will have direct responsibility for a broad range of creative projects, bringing brands and campaigns to life across traditional, digital, outdoor, radio and social media channels.

You will be producing a variety of work for clients across a range of industries, including retail, tech and pharmaceutical. You will have an eye for design and great attention to detail. As an experienced and versatile designer, you will have the ability to think both creatively and strategically, taking responsibility for design concepts from start to finish, taking in the scope of the whole creative vision. This position will call on your depth of experience and creativity daily.


  • 5+ years’ experience in a creative design/ad agency
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC and other relevant design software
  • A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating innovative and strategically driven design work.
  • A team player who understands and is comfortable working in a busy, collaborative studio environment.
  • A creative thinker with problem-solving ability
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Experience working on projects from start to finish, including packaging and supplying files for print
  • Able to work with existing as well as craft new brand identities
  • Expert-level layout, typography and retouching skills
  • Experience in motion graphics, UX/UI design or illustration is a plus


Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Creative Director on the creative direction of all creative projects
  • Ensure creative briefs are interpreted and acted upon effectively and efficiently
  • You will be able to develop original creative design solutions across all traditional and digital media, for a range of clients across different industries, maintaining brand consistency across each project
  • Manage the roll-out of campaign assets and prepare files for production
  • You will be highly organised and maintain design files and master assets as needed.
  • You have expert technical knowledge from set-up to production files
  • Collaborate with the studio team on design projects to contribute creative ideas and concepts
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams across the business
  • Motivate and coach junior members of the team to ensure maximum engagement and creativity across all projects
  • Continuously grow in your skills and knowledge, keeping up with industry trends and new technology
