Media Design School is celebrating 10 years of Game Art and Programming degrees with a free graduate show and free industry conference on 18-19 November 2022 at our Auckland Central campus. There’ll be an opportunity to hear from and network with some of the greatest minds within New Zealand’s gaming industry who happened to get their start at MDS.

They say you should surround yourself with the kinds of people you’d like to be, so what better excuse to network with some of the greatest minds within New Zealand’s gaming industry?

Introducing: Decade Arcade!

Many MDS alumni have worked their way into top studios to work on well-known games, like Call of Duty and Path of Exile; while others have looked to chase their own visions, releasing indie games that have developed huge followings around the globe. This November, we are inviting as many as we can to present at what we think could be one of the most prolific game development events New Zealand has ever seen!

Worry not! We will fill the void left by the cancellation of Auckland Armageddon (too soon?). Not only will you be entertained by the stories and experiences of our veteran elite, but you’ll hopefully be able to pick up a thing or two to guide you toward your own goals.

So, crack those knuckles, study up on your gaming trivia, and get ready to join an event that you’ll be telling your grandkids about.
