Together, we will examine, discuss and expand our individual and collective ideas about design – What is it? What could it be? Where does its value lie now, and next?

This season, we’re shaking Spring Conversations up with dynamic workshop formats, designed to give you a chance to chat, debate and connect with your local design community and explore fresh ideas that will shape the future of design.

Inspiration: Hear from others as they provoke, interrogate and engage with their interpretation of the future of design.

Collective Insight: We’ll reconvene to share insights, ideas, and possibilities, considering what steps we can take together as a community.

Our speakers:

Astrid Visser: An artist, design educator and consultant with a passion for exploring the use of emergent technologies in creative practice

Dr Johnson Witehira: A co-founder, creative director, academic author and Māori innovator who addresses global issues and drives change through design, technology and game development

Vailahi Vailahi: A masters student, explorer and preserver of cultural heritage and Tuvaluan tradition in the face of climate change.

Chris Jackson: A multifaceted, award-winning design professional with a background in academia, public service, commercial design and evolving design practice advocacy.
