The brief

Elicyon is a London based design studio with a global reputation for crafting highly considered, emotionally rich interiors. As they prepared to expand into new markets, they needed a digital presence that aligned with their ambition. Their existing site was visually polished but difficult to scale. Even with established brand guidelines, there were open questions about how the brand should behave online. How typography and imagery should speak to one another. How motion and interaction could deepen connection.

They arrived with an extraordinary archive of photography. Every image felt like a work of art, composed with intent. Queue team HNDRX….honour that craft and create a digital design language that could evolve.

The design response

We built a series of stylescapes to push the brand gently beyond its comfort zone. Each direction explored a different way the identity could show up online. Taking inspiration from old editorial layouts, type driven page turners and modern immersive experiences. We paired strong typographic systems with understated motion to create an experience that felt both architectural and human. The aim was not to decorate but to guide.

Motion became the connective tissue. Page transitions were designed to feel seamless. Interactions were slow and deliberate. Nothing rushed. Nothing pulled attention away from the work. Instead, motion carried the viewer from one moment to the next, keeping them inside the Elicyon world.

We leaned into their affinity for bold type and crafted a hero animation where poetic language dissolves to reveal a clear, confident message. It became the anchor for the experience. A simple move that captured the brand’s tone: expressive, but never indulgent.

What emerged feels less like a website and more like an extension of their practice. A quiet, immersive world built to hold their work with the respect it deserves.
