This week’s Fresh From The Field features a series of short animations for Minded by Gusto.

If you have new or recent work that you would like to share in Fresh from the Field email Lana for details.

The brief:
Minded is an online tool that helps people discover their strengths to establish a tailored career pathway. As part of this tool, we were asked to create a series of short animations that guide their users through each part of the interactive process.
Design response:
Gusto used the geometric shapes and colours prominent throughout Minded’s branding to develop a set of characters. Minded’s brand is all about simplicity, and it was integral that this approach extended into the animation. The bold distinctive palette and use of these characters allowed us to create an interesting world without having to rely on large amounts of visual detail to tell the story. The result was a series of engaging animations that entertained while prompting self-reflection.
