Chromacon is coming!

8 years ago by

Chromacon 2017, taking place at the Aotea Centre on April 8th and 9th, is shaping up to be a really exciting and talent-packed weekend, and Design Assembly’s got 2 x FREE all-day passes to give away. (If you’re keen, email Zoë before 5pm Monday April 3).
The list of exhibitors was recently released and features a stunning collection of work from over 100 contributors.
Running in parellel to Chromacon this year, in the form of independent sessions, Chroma Connect will be a multidisciplinary creative industry summit focused on professional development and the cross-pollinaton of ideas. It features master-classes, panel discussions, case studies and more, presented by a diverse group of international and local industry leaders, and paints a big picture view of the ever-changing interconnected worlds of technology, arts and entertainment.
The team behind Chromacon states, “We’ve got a bunch of amazing international guests as well as local speakers delivering masterclasses, talks, and finishing up with a creative roundtable for Chroma Connect. It’s on at the same time as Chromacon (in the Goodman Fielder Room) and with individually ticketed sessions available this year, we hope people are able to get along to both Chromacon and Chroma Connect.”
Chroma Connect Sessions feature:
Ojiro ‘Moppin’ Fumoto
Toby Morris
Dinosaur Polo Club
Bobby Chiu
John Mueller
Mukpuddy
David Follett
Kei Acedera
Check out the weekend’s schedule.

Plus, ahead of 2017’s Chromacon event, the team recently interviewed comic artist Michel Mulipola, and vintage-inspired multi-disciplinary creator Martin Horspool. Read their interviews here.
