Fresh from the Field — Feel A Little

9 years ago by

This week’s Fresh from the Field showcases a recent Little Love (Mary Egan Publishing) project with some great illustrations from Evie Kemp.
If you’ve got new or recent work that you’d like to share in our weekly Fresh from the Field series email Zoë for details.

Feel A Little, the book of little poems about big feelings, combines original poetry by Jenny Palmer (of A Little Ink) with the signature vibrant colour pops and patterns of Evie Kemp illustrations. This book, their first creative collaboration, tackles the serious issue of emotions for children using inspiring visual language and bright, beautiful design, all in a beautiful hard cover package.
“Designing the Feel A Little book was all about what will draw children out of themselves, prompt their imagination and their attention. Bright, expressive characters and colour were key. I hope children will love this book for the characters and catchy rhymes and then, when they feel these emotions, they can really picture their feelings and have a starting point to talk about them. Making Feel A Little vibrant and engaging gave us a way to really appeal to children, and their adults!”
