Te Puna Creative Hub is hosting a free, interactive event for all ages, to celebrate the completion of the first Te Puna Creative Academy Digital Visual Arts and Design programme launch of Kahuawe, a video game created by tauira (students) in partnership with Te Kawerau ā Maki and Te Puna.
We are delighted to invite you to the Digital Experience Showcase that brings Kahuawe to life.
Be fully-immersed in the mobile video game that is inspired by a Te Kawerau ā Maki pūrākau (story) – through an immersive projection experience with in-person characters, a VR (virtual reality) headset experience, a photo booth opportunity using Te Puna’s giant green screen and the early release of the Kahuawe game app.
The epitome of Māori storytelling through digital innovation, the showcase also includes an expo of creative and tech training providers for rangatahi and lifelong learners.
