Creative Journeys: How designers and creatives are crafting their own livelihoods

1 year ago by

Over 100 of you joined us at Creative Journeys for an evening of candid kōrero, delicious drinks (that orange wine!) and fancy platters. The live panel discussion and Q&A session was a fantastic opportunity for many to connect with your fellow creatives and gain insight from each other’s journeys. Watch the replay below to catch up with the conversation or enjoy it all over again.

Design Assembly has always been about fostering connections, providing inspiration, and celebrating the vibrant design community in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our mission is to support designers at every stage of their journey, and the Creative Journeys series is a testament to that commitment.

Through interviews and conversation we have delved into the experiences of five self-employed creatives – Evie KempBecca O’SheaMark Easterbrook and Hannah & Nick Ippolito – exploring their creative pathways to learn how they have crafted a livelihood aligned to their values.

With thanks to Squarespace and the panel: Evie Kemp, Becca O’Shea, Mark Easterbrook and Hannah & Nick Ippolito.
