NFT XFKTR Art Competition

2 years ago by

For designers, artists, and illustrators interested in dipping their toes into the NFT art world the NFT XFKTR art competition may be a good place to start.

Entrants are free to submit on any style or medium and the three themes for this year’s comp include: Visionary Vibrations, Fearless Futurism, and Zeitgeist Zoo.

The winner will be taking home $5,000 cash prize. Submissions close 16 Sept, enter here: https://nftxfktr.io

YOU GOT IT. WE WANT IT. LET’S DO IT.

Calling all artists and creators. If you’ve got the XFKTR, then this is your chance to burst onto the world stage by NFTing your art!

You could get minted, get discovered, get auctioned, get media exposure. Hell, you might even get crowned NFT XFKTR champion and take home the $5,000 cash prize!

“As you may have guessed from the name XFKTR, we’re looking for a little more than just the jpg” says NFT XFKTR Creative Director Nick McFarlane. “You see art collectors buy the artist, not just the art. And in this day and age, creators of all genres are exploding because they’ve managed to build their personal brand and harness a following on social media by just sharing their work.”

The competition format reflects this brave new world with 3 stages, each offering different opportunities – starting easy and becoming progressively harder.

  1. Make the Mint
To make life easy for artists without any NFT experience, we’ve built a simple entry system where you upload art + details and you’re in! Judges select top 100 entries, who are minted to go through to the next round auction.
  2. Art Auction
A common practice with NFTs is to sell through auction. So being true to the real world, we’re holding an auction where 100 artists get to sell and make money themselves. It also provides a mechanism to determine the top 3 pieces of art as chosen by the market. Our judging panel will also scour entries for 6 more gems, putting 9 Finalists through to the next round.
  3. Promote the Vote
You gotta sing for your supper, (it is the XFKTR after all) so we award each finalist $1,000 to boost their socials, driving people to the Finalist Gallery to vote for them. The artist with the most votes wins and is crowned 2022 NFT XFKTR champion. Boom!

There’s no restrictions on style or medium, you’re free to enter whatever you can imagine taking inspiration from these themes:

Visionary Vibrations:
Unlock the door to your personal universe and let us in, let this be the bridge between what’s in your mind and the world you want us to see. We want to feel your vibes!

Fearless Futurism:
Don’t be afraid to push the boundary of artistic innovation, be it by hand, mind or computer generation. Sweep away traditional artistic notions and replace them with an energetic celebration of the machine age.

Zeitgeist Zoo:
Got your finger on the pulse of culture? Feel the need to subvert the status quo, or make a statement about the state of the world? Then uncage your thoughts and let your creativity run wild.

So whether you’re new to NFTs or a seasoned minter, this is an incredible opportunity to share your work with a community of fellow artists, collectors, technologists and those hungry for the next big thing.

The world’s your stage and we want your XFKTR!
Don’t delay, entries close Sept 16.
