Creative Journeys: Design Academy, powered by Squarespace is a series of free, in-person and online events taking place across Aotearoa New Zealand in 2025.

With this year’s theme of ‘Design Academy’, each event also includes a Free seminar led by a local agency or designer with a focus on tactical Design tips and business knowledge. 

Join us in Ōtautahi on Wednesday, 9 April for a morning of learning and connection with featured creative, Nicole Macdonald, of January Made.

We’ll kick off the morning with coffee and delicious pastries before diving into the featured talk and end with a bit of Q&A

Featured Session topic: ‘Creative Independence: Diversifying Your Design Business with Templates’.

In this session Nicole will be sharing her strategies for leveraging designs into passive income streams and transforming projects into profitable templates.

Featured Creative: Nicole Macdonald of January Made

Nicole Macdonald wears multiple hats as the Creative Director and Founder of January Made, a design studio based in Christchurch, New Zealand and works with creative clients worldwide.

Nicole specialises in crafting bespoke branding that aligns with her clients’ vision and in creating custom website designs where function meets beauty, exclusively through the Squarespace platform. She is also the driving force behind Creative Process Collective, an online hub dedicated to empowering creative business owners with the tools, knowledge, and expert advice they need to conquer burnout, streamline their systems, and navigate the challenges of sustaining a successful business.
