How can graphic design and communication transform our cities? Join leading Canadian design and communications professional Tom Flood (Rovélo Creative; Urban Truth Collective) for a conversation on how creativity can shift the narrative on road safety.

Tom will give a short presentation on his work then join a panel discussion with locals from both the transport and design fields: Tim Chesney (Director, Make), Jeanette Ward (Technical Director Transportation Engineering, Abley) and Professor of Geography Simon Kingham (University of Canterbury).

Tom Flood (Rovélo Creative; Urban Truth Collective) is a Canadian communications professional with over 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, who has worked with a wide range of clients from financial institutions to automotive manufacturers. Through Rovélo Creative he helps organisations both in and out of the advocacy space develop their brands, creative and messaging. In addition to this creative and strategy work he has been writing, giving lectures and running workshops globally that focus on reframing the mainstream narrative around road safety, road violence and active transportation. He is also a founding member of the Urban Truth Collective, a group of leading urbanists and communicators countering disinformation and myths about what creates better cities.
