ŌTAUTAHI: Brunch by the Beach for freelance designers

8 months ago by

Earlier this year our friends at Rocketspark & Creative Launchpad hosted a community event up in the Bay of Plenty which brought together local freelance designers – from seasoned veterans to fresh grads – and some of the best pastries in the Bay ( no joke! ).

The vibe was warm and welcoming, and everyone left with new friends, inspiration, and a full tummy.

“I can say that day was a really good collection of thoughts and creators from the area. I felt like I got to learn a lot of interesting processes and confirm a few things for myself as well. And it’s really nice to see the community come together and meet some other creatives.” – Dan Bisley, Design Lead

This month, Brunch by the Beach is taking place again but this time down in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

At this event on 22 August you’ll be able to connect with other freelance designers, learn from the featured speaker – Matt Innes from Strategy Creative, ask questions during the panel discussion, and enjoy some delicious treats from Karma.

Strategy Creative’s Matt Innes will be sharing his thoughts on the DNA of award winning design and will be hosting his branding workshop, ‘Branding by Fire’ and will help you create a simple, yet powerful brand strategy.

Freelance designers who attend this event can expect to:
  • Gain valuable business insights from experienced freelancers and learn practical tips and strategies for managing your design business.
  • Connect with a community of other freelance designers who understands your struggles and can help you succeed
  • Gain fresh perspectives on the latest trends and best practices in branding design

Following the main Brunch by the Beach event in the morning, there will be two optional afternoon workshops available. Both workshops are on at the same time, so choose the one that best suits you.

Design Assembly Friends can use the code DAFRIEND at check out to receive a discount on their tickets.
