This is a great artworking role for a senior who excels in long-form editorial design, and you may have a bit of animation and retouching skills to add to the mix.

Our client is a strategic creative design agency with offices in both Wellington and Auckland, this position is situated in the Auckland office.

We are looking to replace one of their long-serving artworkers. The role is in the Artwork Studio, taking direction from the creative team. The role would suit someone who is more technically oriented than purely creative.

• Experience in laying out long documents using InDesign
• Ability to build graphs using provided data in Illustrator
• Creating assets for digital output (digital ads, website assets etc)
• Basic to intermediate animation skills using Adobe After Effects
• Some photoshop retouching and grading skills an advantage.
• Accurately interpret a brief and designers’ visual.
• Able to organise tasks and multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

This person is customer and quality focused. Understands the nature and complexity of the corporate documents they undertake. Enjoys being accountable and takes ownership of a project often having to be adaptable to changing timelines and specs. You are flexible and willing to do what it takes to accommodate the client’s shifting requirements. During the busy period (July-September) you are prepared to work periods of extended hours and weekends to meet those requirements.
