Ira is a multiple award winning brand and strategy consultancy working through a te ao Māori lens to deliver creative solutions for a thriving Aotearoa. We work with a wide variety of Government, Business, Iwi and Community organisations through a unique blend of strategy, culture and creativity.

Working for Ira will see you helping to rebrand organisations like Kiwibank, launching a new Māori health strategy for the Ministry of Health, or celebrating te reo Māori with a national L&P campaign. We are coming to our 20th year and looking to grow our influence, shaping the future of Aotearoa for all of us.

Te Tūranga | About the Role

We are recruiting an exciting new role that would appeal to a strategic problem solver, influential communicator, relationship builder and cultural advocate. You will help us take a winning formula and scale our size of projects and the impact of our work.

New Business Development

Use vision and leadership to define clear pathways to business growth to become a market leader.
Self-motivated relationship builder, opening new doors, pitching ideas, promoting Ira services and procuring new contracts.
Working collaboratively with the creative team to develop business to business sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
Experience doing large tenders and All of Government GETS tender processes.
Account Director

Manaaki our most important Customers, ensuring they receive a great experience and develop lasting partnerships agreements.
Mentor and develop our Account Executive to provide great Customer service and care.
Industry Experience

5 – 7 years at a senior business level, working with major accounts and a proven sales and Customer retention track record.
Great understanding of the power of branding, advertising, creative services to help organisations deliver their goals.
Worked with Customers who expect the highest standard of strategic and creative work to deliver authentic and meaningful outcomes.
Cultural Competency

Comfortable engaging in spaces where te reo Māori is spoken and celebrated. Competency in te reo Māori at a level 5 or above is helpful.
Have a strong love and connection to te ao Māori. You know the challenges our people face and you are invested in uplifting Māori and all New Zealanders.
You know to weave people of all ages and backgrounds together with aroha, tika and pono.
