Jodine Bell started designing at 11 with an Interior design kit (that she begged for her birthday). Swapping from interiors to graphic design after her first year at design school paid off and she is now Creative Director at Principals Auckland. She’s worked for agencies, studios and clients across New Zealand, Australia and Europe, covering ‘new-media’ design pre-dot-com crash, endless photoshoots for fashion retail, FMCG, six banks… all through a brand lens. She loves a DIY reno project, hates the sound of a boiling (blue) jug, and can never remember what the Principals Auckland group email address is.
Laura is the Founder and Design Director of award-winning design and advertising agency RUN, having started the company in 2008 (then called Designstein).
She was recently included as the only New Zealander in the Campaign Asia-Pacific Woman to Watch list, awarded for being an outstanding female high achiever in the marketing, advertising and communications industry across Asia-Pacific.
A designer with over 16 years experience, Laura has an extensive knowledge and expertise in strategic design and brand application. She has experience working across multiple international brands, for clients including Niue Tourism, Auckland Council, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Kelly Tarlton’s, Westpac, Plunket, Lego, Puma, Canon, 2degrees, Mattel, Te Puia and the United Nations.
Laura has also been commissioned to create work for the annual creative conference Semi-Permanent, was selected as a finalist in the Fieldays No.8 Wire National Art Awards and exhibited at Art in The Dark. In 2012 she completed a personal project – mydailydesign.com – where she designed the date every day of the year. She’s also a proud mum of two.
Laura has a passion for helping clients grow and build their businesses. Strategic based thinking helps her expertly navigate across media channels in the implementation of branding projects on any scale, small or large.
